New Public Housing
The Territory Government currently operates public housing right across the Territory. More public housing is needed. Given the historic backlog, it is not within the Territory Government’s budget capacity to provide all the housing that is required.
New approaches need to be taken to public housing. Clients’ needs have changed – people are getting older, family sizes have changed and more single people need accommodation.
