Register your interest in Johnston

Housing lots in the first stage of Johnston will be available for sale off the plan in November. Members of the public are invited to register their interest in purchasing off the plan by entering their contact details in the online registration form.

Johnston

Johnston is the next suburb to be developed in Palmerston East. The proposed master planned residential subdivision is bounded by the suburb of Farrar to the north, the Stuart Highway, Lambrick Avenue to the south and Roystonea Avenue.

The Department of Planning and Infrastructure has obtained development approval for stage one of the suburb with the development rights for the construction of the first 200 lots to be auctioned in October 2009. The whole of Johnston is expected to provide more than 850 new homes.

Under the Territory Government’s affordable housing strategy, 15% of residential lots in Johnston will be set aside for affordable and community housing. Similar provisions also apply for the suburb of Bellamack.

The entire subdivisional area of Johnston also includes a declared heritage place (Defence 17 ½ Mile Camp) which occupies 12.8 hectares of the project area.
