The Territory Government provides the best homebuyer assistance in the nation to support more Territorians to buy their own home. Budget 2012 continues investment in land release, affordable housing and rental options, and public housing across the Territory.
Construction will commence on the $48 million project to deliver 140 new affordable rental dwellings in Palmerston, providing rental options at 20 per cent below market rates.
The $10 000 BuildBonus grant continues and through Territory government concessions nearly 90% of first homebuyers pay no stamp duty.
